Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology
Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST) provides assistive technology products and services that will enable persons with disabilities to participate in independent living, education, work and recreation from birth to death. Using assistive technology and adaptive devices are keys to overcoming physical barriers. If requested, VR begin with a job-site evaluation to identify any problems that relate to workplace accessibility for the VR customer’s ability to perform specific tasks. Recommendations are made for appropriate technology that will raise productivity and quality of life. This may include:
- Assistive devices for sight and hearing
- Accessibility and safety issues (e.g., grab-bars in restrooms)
- Ergonomic armrests
- Mobility and transportation barriers (e.g., wheelchair or scooter to help you get around the office)
- Vehicle modifications

Job Accommodation Network
Job Accommodation Network (JAN) provides free consulting services for all employers, regardless of the size of an employer’s workforce. Services include one-on-one consultation about all aspects of job accommodations (e.g., process, ideas, product vendors, referrals, and ADA-compliance assistance).
National Employment Team
VR is affiliated with National Employment Team (NET). NET offers business customers in the private and public sectors, a designated single point-of-contact to connect with qualified applicants, resources and support services in their local state area, multi-state or national marketplace.
