General Information
The Bureau of Rehabilitation and Reemployment Services (BRRS) is a program within the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation responsible for the administration of the rehabilitation and reemployment provisions under the Florida’s Worker’s Compensation law (Section 440.491, Florida Statutes).
BRRS Core Responsibilities
  • Provides Florida injured workers with reemployment services to return them to suitable gainful employment.

  • Maintains a list of qualified rehabilitation providers.

  • Monitors carriers' provision of medical care coordination, reemployment assessments, and reemployment services.

  • Educates carriers and qualified rehabilitation providers.

  • Collects and manages reemployment services data.
Ombudsman
The Bureau of Rehabilitation and Reemployment Services (BRRS) Ombudsman will assist you in resolving your client-services needs. This is an impartial service available to injured workers who have requested reemployment services through BRRS. If you have questions or concerns regarding services, the Ombudsman may be able to assist you. The Ombudsman receives, investigates, and assists in resolving problems. BRRS Programs
Bureau Sponsored Reemployment Services for Florida Injured Workers
This program provides Florida injured workers with appropriate reemployment services to return to suitable
gainful employment. Services vary depending on the needs of the individual. For additional information, contact
your local district office of BRRS or the central office at (850) 245-3470.
Injured Employee Orientation

Crisis Intervention Program
This program provides appropriate information and referrals to assist injured workers in crisis. If you know
of an injured worker who is in crisis or at risk of going into a crisis, contact your local district office of BRRS
or the central office at (850) 245-3470.
Qualified Rehabilitation Providers
BRRS maintains a Directory of qualified rehabilitation providers, facilities, and companies that provide
rehabilitation and reemployment services. For questions about the directory or the monitoring of rehabilitation
providers, please contact central office at (850) 245-3470.

The required Qualified Rehabilitation Provider Workshop is available on-line for providers who wish to
meet certification and recertification requirements for listing in the Directory.

Referrals Web Site
This web site allows attorneys, adjusters, qualified rehabilitation providers, medical providers, and
others to submit on-line referrals of injured workers to the BRRS for services. Click on this link to

Early Referral Program
This program promotes the injured worker’s early involvement in the reemployment process through a
partnership between the BRRS and carriers. For additional information, contact your local district office
of the BRRS or the central office at (850) 245-3470.
Carrier Reemployment Services
This program monitors carriers' provision of rehabilitation and reemployment services. For additional

BRRS Web Portal
This web site enables carriers and qualified rehabilitation providers to electronically report reemployment
services on the DWC-21, the Reemployment Services Billing Form, and the DWC-22, the Reemployment
Status Review Form; refer injured workers to the Bureau on the DWC-23, the Request for Screening Form; and, upload case documents, including medical records and other case-related documents. Regional Workshops for Insurance Carriers
The Bureau of Rehabilitation and Reemployment Services announces Regional Workshops for insurance carriers regarding the mandatory electronic submission of DWC-21 and DWC-22 Forms and recent revisions to Rule 6A-22, Florida Administrative Code. The workshops are open to Qualified Rehabilitation Providers (QRPs) who wish to attend.
