General VR Program
An employment program assisting individuals with disabilities, including Floridians with
the most severe disabilities, to pursue meaningful careers commensurated with their abilities
and capabilities. In addition to the various services that DVR provides, the following are a
few highlighted programs that are within the General VR Program:
Ticket to Work Program, School to Work Transition Services, Supported Employment Program,
Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late-Deafened, and Deaf-Blind Program
Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST)
FAAST envisions a seamless, supportive partnership between Florida public and private sectors
to provide assistive technology devices and services that will enable persons with disabilities to
participate in independent living, education, work, and recreation throughout their lifespan.

Independent Living Program
This program provides services through a statewide network of private non-profit,
non-residential, locally based and consumer controlled Centers for Independent Living.    
Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker Program
The purpose of this program is to fund projects that demonstrate and provide
vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities who are migrant or seasonal
farm workers, and to the family members who are residing with such individuals, including
maintenance and transportation of such individuals and members of their families.
Workers' Compensation Reemployment Services Program
This Program provides appropriate reemployment services designed to assist Florida injured
workers return to work and monitors carriers and rehabilitation providers to insure compliance
with the rehabilitation and reemployment services requirements in the Florida Workers'
Compensation Law.
Qualified Rehabilitation Provider On-line Workshop
The Bureau of Rehabilitation & Reemployment Services now offers the Qualified
Rehabilitation Provider Workshop required for listing in the Directory of Qualified
Rehabilitation Providers on-line.
Adults with Disabilities Grant
The goal of the Adults with Disabilities Grant is to provide school districts and community colleges
funding that gives adults with disabilities and senior citizens the opportunity for enhancement
of skills that is consistent with their abilities and needs.

Funds may be used in programs to:
• Improve quality of life through the provision of recreational activities and intellectual stimulation.
• Serve adults with disabilities who are not suited for workforce development education programs.
• Provide lifelong learning activities to senior citizens.

Eligible applicants have been identified in the 2008 General Appropriations Act and are limited to
the following:

The Adult with Disabilities Grant is available only to named school districts and community colleges
and is not available to individuals.
